The Benefit POREfessional Event + Review!

benefit cosmetics professional review and event

As mentioned 2 weekends ago, the Benefit POREfessional event was a total blast! Benefit Cosmetics had a special event for their Facebook fans in conjunction with their POREfessional product release. There were 8 Benefit Singapore Facebook fans chosen to receive complimentary makeovers from beauty bloggers in Singapore, goodies and much more! Here is a little photo diary of the event, as well as a review on the POREfessional. Also, read on for a very special treat for Beauty Fool readers. ;)

The bloggers were put into 4 teams (with 2 fans each), me with the beautiful Andrea Chong (who you might recognise as the co-host of That F Word) and I was really excited as we both wanted to be paired up together! We even co-ordinated our outfits for the day (black and white), only to find out we got to wear the fun Benefit trench coats. Love! After meeting our two winners, Aminah and Cheryn, we went outside at the Benefit pop up store for a special treat.

ELLE Girls’ Day Out with Darlie Expert White

Two weeks ago I spent my Saturday afternoon in one of my most favorite ways – a girls’ day out! ELLE Magazine and Darlie organized a fun girls’ day out and I got invited along. I’ve obviously read ELLE and I’ve used Darlie toothpaste since I was a kid; so it was a no brainer for me and I was excited as the line up of activities sounded really good!

The event was held at Loola’s at the Esplanade, a cute little café owned by Awfully Chocolate, which I guess needs no introduction – it’s probably the most popular chocolate eatery in Singapore! It was also great bumping into my fellow blogger friends (the above photo is me, Roseanne and Rusty), which made it even more fun.

A Night With Zardoze at the Audi Fashion Festival!

Two weeks ago, I remembered it was time to do something I haven’t done in awhile: really get dolled and dressed up to the nines.

For the highly-anticipated Zardoze fashion show at Audi Fashion Festival, us blog ambassadors (me, Dawn, Silver, Vanessa) got a chance to dress up in Zardoze gowns we chose. I chose a simple black and gold piece, which was velvet on the top, and had a very sexy halter-neck-slit cutout going on. I really loved it, and got many compliments on it that night. I paired it with my Cole Haan flat sandals (I know sandals and a gown seems weird, but no one could see my shoes and I wanted to be comfrotable – it was a long night!) and a DKNY gold clutch.

An Afternoon at Bliss House Restaurant

Bliss House restaurant review Singapore

A little over two weeks ago my mom and I had a nice Mother-Daughter lunch at the newly launched Bliss House. I teased about this new place on Instagram, and I think it’s safe to say that this is probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to. You’re gonna love these pics!

Developed to be a “theme” restaurant; this “garden” restaurant is great for hanging out with friends, birthdays, ROMs, anniversaries, you name it. Before we look at the food, let’s take a tour of the place, shall we?

Fountains, carriages, flower walls and a bridge surround the place, making it great for photo ops and giving it an ethereal, garden vibe. Inside there is a private area that can be closed up for private parties, and it’s just as lovely as the main restaurant. There is also a stunning lounge area, complete with a  white grand piano – something about the place is very Garden of Eden, don’t you think?

Here is where my mom and I ate, probably my favorite spot – it’s so bright and sunny. The GM, Josephine, of Bliss House was telling us that most of the feedback said that when they are in Bliss House, they feel relaxed and calm, and I totally agree. Even though it’s in the city area, this is completely “secluded” from the hussle and bussle of the city and noise – it is quiet, serene, bright, sunny and the flowers and the white decor just makes everything so… heavenly and peaceful.
