Happy Friday, friends!
Every Friday, The Straits Times has a fashion newspaper called URBAN, and I, along with the fab Mag, Sesame and Roseanne, was featured in their cover story about Singapore top beauty bloggers. And I’m on the cover, eeks! My very first cover… it’s so weird to see yourself like that. I’m excited yet embarrassed! (Is it just me or does my face look extra big?! I wonder if it’s because it’s photographed through a mirror?)
Thank you URBAN and Gladys Chung for this, it’s so surreal! I am so blessed. I have scanned in the article and my part of the feature (just click the picture to enlarge), I hope you enjoy it.
And if anyone is here for the first time after reading URBAN, hello and welcome! 
Update Mar 12: I’d like to say a few things as I’ve seen some “comments” online after this article came out. First of all, not every blogger is out there to get “freebies”. And as for the quote that blogs not being as credible as magazines and newspapers; yes, any old fool can write a blog, but I’ve worked in magazines before, and without stating the obvious, I had to laugh at that quote!

Then I thought there are gonna be idoits who will take this to slam you and it did happen now.

Oh, what did they say? Geez…nevermind and don’t bother Renee. You hardly do product reviews. Haha…they should come and critic me. And well, they CAN always start a blog if they wish too.
Yeah, I didn’t want to bother and say anything but at the same time I didn’t want our readers to read it and get a different impression of us. Basically I just saw a few people “thanking” Urban for the story and then said all bloggers are in it for free stuff and self-promotion, and how they will never trust blogs again, we are all untrustworthy, blah blah blah blah.
Like you told me earlier, press is a double edged sword
I just have to comment. IAre magazines really that credible? I was readding an article in a magazine where the beauty editor was raving about a beauty product, and when I turned the page, guess what the advertisement was? I’m not a sucker, haha.
