Thank you for preventing me from lobbying hard for black hair tomorrow at my appointment! I’m still a pretty big noob when it comes to hair color and didn’t realize that black is uber permanent. I still want my dark brown hair to go darker though, so I’ll definitely need to seek the advice of my stylist.

I personally think that if you want to colour your hair black then you should try it, but not without serious thought first — also look at the type of colour. Some blacks have a blue tinge, some are glossy and some have are a jet black and some are more licorice coloured.Also consult your hairdresser — do not try doing this at home on your own because it can go horribly wrong. I dyed my hair jet black when I was in the gothic scene and I was 20 years old. Everyone loved it and I always got great attention because I paired it with black and white clothes, red lips and kohl eyeliner. I grew my hair, long and wavy and when I wanted to look softer I did my eyes lavender and purple or gray kohl eyeliner. If you dye your hair Jet Black you can be sure to have it for a very long time. For some reason after a few years I wanted lighter hair again. That’s when it became a problem. No lightener will work without destroying your hair to straw. So the commitment is deep and long lasting. If you want to do a Semi Permanent black that will be way smarter and perfect for your hair. It will still be very black and it will fade out in two or three months. (It is not 28 days like the others). It willnever be blond again but it will fade to a deep reddish or brownish hue. Its a great color but like some people said it can make you look harsher and meaner. And if you are older your wrinkles and pale skin will be magnified. Just do the SEMI permanent and keep using that only on your roots after. One application only….so that one day it will fade and you can do something different if you choose to.

DO NOT COLOR YOUR HAIR BLACK, MY MOTHER WHO IS 61 DOES THIS AND SHE LOOKS VERY STERN AND HARD LOOKING…OTHERWISE KINDA OF UNAPPROACHABLE. WE CALL HER THE BLACK ACE OF SPADES, PEOPLE WITH BLACK HAIR TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT…..IT’S CHEAP AND EASY TO DO AND YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP GOING TO THE SALON….BUT IT’S MAKES YOU LOOK MEAN AND AND LIKE A WITCH…IT’S A CHEAP COLOR FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN TO USE…..I THINK PEOPLE WITH REALLY DARK KOHL BLACK HAIR LOOK FAKE AND KINDA OF MEAN. I DONT LOOK AT THEM AND TRY TO AVOID THEM, BECAUSE THEY LOOK LIKE THEY MAY TELL YOU OFF AT ANY MOMENT, KINDA OF LIKE A CRAZY PERSON…UGH I HATE BLACK HAIR….YUKE YUKE YUKE! Actually, there *are* pale skinned people whom *are* naturally raven-haired,an c:d do *not* look fake…also,I’m a natural blonde,very fair skinned,with hazel-green eyes,and have dyed my hair jet black,and people adore me in it…and also “looking paler” is not necessarily a bad thing…not everyone wants to look hard like a man with dark tanned skin *and* dark hair… c:
