Finally! I got my grubby little hands on something from LUSH!
As I mentioned earlier, my best friend Di is in town from New Zealand and that cheeky little bigger read that I’ve been dying to try LUSH, and knows that I love anything vanilla-scented, and so got me the perfect Christmas gift. Little did she know that THIS exact product, Vanillary perfume, was the first thing on my list for when I go to new LUSH store (sadly I still haven’t gone yet!). Either way, I was all AHHH!!! when I opened my gift – totally what I wanted! (I guess that’s why she’s my BFF, eh?)
Di said she got me the solid version since it seemed interesting (she’s not really “beauty crazy” like me or my other best friend, Christine), but she has amazing taste! It is my first solid perfume and I’m very glad that it works just like any old spray version: the scent lasts well for a few hours, and the areas where I applied the perfume dried instantly, so my skin didn’t feel sticky (my first fear).
The other reason I’m in love? The scent itself! It smells delicious – more to the sweet, cookie side than the normal warm vanilla scents I have, so this is a great change from that. I received it on the 24th (Denmark – and most of Europe it seems – open gifts on the 24th) so I wore it to a Christmas lunch on the 25th and I wanted to eat my own arm! It smells SO delicious.

So because of that, the amazing staying power and the convenience of the bottle (seriously, how easy are touch ups now?!), my first LUSH product is a whopping success and it gets 5 equally delicious donuts. Yum!!! I can’t wait to try more!
Have you tried Vanillary from LUSH yet? What do you think? And what do you think about solid perfumes?

I’ve been using Lush for about 10 years I think, I’m a total addict! I love vanilla too but I wasn’t too fond of the Vanillary scent so I gave it to my mum a few days ago. I’m using the Lust solid perfume which is a jasmine-based scent. Heavenly!
Hey Leia, merry Christmas.
Ooh I must get Di the Lust perfume in return – she LOVES jasmine xx
After reading your post about Lush before, I decided to check out the Lush here in the Philippines (they just opened near me!) and I saw the Vanilla perfume too! It smells soo good! I wasn’t sure about the stick, but now that you said it wasn’t sticky, I think I’m gonna get it. I hope it lasts awhile though!
BTW, I super love your blog! Keep it up!
Thanks so much, Karen Ann! I really appreciate your readership
OOh yes! You should def try out the solid perfume, it isn’t sticky at all, just let it dry for a minute or two and you can barely feel anything.
Did you just say cookie-like vanilla scent? *___* I must try this haha! If I pair this with my Vanilla Snowflake body lotion I think I smell good enough to eat! D:
YOU HAVE TOO! Yummmmmmy.
Is the Vanilla Snowflake body lotion by LUSH as well? It sounds so good!
I love lush!!
I love it too! So far at least!
I love Lush. I am so excited they are in Singapore!
Oooh I have this one it smells SOO good! I also have the LUST fragrance and Karma fragrance, I prefer the solid ones too, they have 10% fragrance (the spritzer has 20 and I think the larger bottle has 30% fragrance) but I feel like the solid ones work best for me. Also, did you know the fragrances are made with essential oils, and they smell slightly different on everyone, and the fragrance changes with your hormones, so if it’s ‘that time of the month’ it might smell stronger or have a sweeter edge to it, it’s something to do with the skins PH, so its almost like having a custom frgarance just for you
You shoud try the Heavanilly massage bar and Vanilla Dee Lite body lotion, mmmmmm
oh and the vanilla puff dusting powder!
xx
