Get the Most Out of Your Products

July 15, 2010

It’s that time of the week again! Whether you’re applying tinted moisturizer, liquid foundation or moisturizer, there is a tip to really get the most out of your product.

To get the most out of the dollop of product you squeezed out, instead of squeezing it onto the back of your hand, squeeze the product onto your palms. Take two fingers and really ‘mix’ the product in – the heat from your fingers will make the cosmetic more spreadable for a flawless finish, and you use less product. If, like me, you are a beast and like to slap on your makeup, rub the makeup gently between your palms and spread it all over your face. This also uses such a small amount of product it’s unbelievable – your products would last much longer!

How do you apply your products? Do you do anything special or do you just slap it on? ;)

how i apply my face products depends on the amount of time i have..if i have ample time, i will dot it around my face and massage it in and enjoy the process (mini morning face massage!), if i want it to be more polish-looking, i’ll use the stippling brush..if i snoozed too much for the day, its just squeeze onto palm, rub the palms and mash it on the face (LOL)

Haha, I can imagine what it’s like on rushed days! XD I think like you said it really depends on how much time you have.

I use my foundation brush to apply everything from sunblock to lotion because I don’t use foundation much. It takes a little longer but you get an even coverage and you don’t have the sticky feel of sunblock on your palms.

I am curious to how it will look! I’ve been applying face products with my hands for as long as I can remember so I’m not sure I know anything else! Maybe I should try a brush. Have you heard about the blending egg (or something like that – a sponge in the shape of an egg?) That sounds like it might be good!

It’s the Beauty Blender and I often call it the Beauty Egg.

I don’t have liquid foundation brush, and so much for the blogs and reviews I chose to buy this Egg than the brush so I don’t know how looks and feels with the brush.

But between the fingers and the Egg, the Egg provide that dewy look maybe because of the sponge’s consistency and the water it has during the application.

It’s pink, it’s and Egg and it’s squeeshy – lov’et!

I put the product on my palm and apply section by section of my face. No wonder my products last me for ages!

Hehe “a beast”. I too am a beast, I’m afraid! Especially when I’m getting ready in the morning, I just slap my makeup on half asleep. I only take time to look decent if I’m going out :P
