On Good Friday last week, right before meeting my parents for lunch and church, I attended a lovely late morning gathering for Benefit’s b.right! skincare launch. As some of you might have noticed, I don’t write too many skincare reviews, because I have found my perfect regime. And while I am open to trying out other skin care products like scrubs, serums, etc, my cleanser and moisturizer choices are set in stone – I am forever loyal! However, I really wanted to attend this launch because this is Benefit’s first skincare range (Benefit is known for their makeup more than anything) and also… I mean come on. You know I’m a sucker for packaging and this has literally got to be the most beautiful skincare packaging I’ve seen… I had to check it out!

Set in a very cozy function room in town, we were treated to goodies (cupcakes!!!) and refreshments. It was very intimate, which I really liked, and it was really fun to catch up with some of my beauty blogging friends. Once there, we mingled and chatted, and were given a short presentation on the brand, the idea behind the line and its products, as well as sampling each of them as the presentation went on.
Basically, Benefit is known as the “fix-it” and “brightening” brand in makeup – I’m sure you all know their famous products that promotes more radiance to the skin, namely High Brow, High Beam, That Gal, Erase Paste… the list goes on! Because of that, Benefit wanted to branch out into skin care with a range that promises the same thing – your face, only brighter and more radiant.

Initial thoughts? I thought the whole line looked promising, and I simply adore the packaging – it looks professional yet still fits Benefit’s quirky, cheeky image. I was totally fantasizing about how beautiful this would look in my bathroom! It took 2 years to develop the line and features a subtle floral cucumber scent, which I found really soothing and not overwhelming. What stood out for me so far was the It’s Potent! Eye Cream (said to be the ‘star’ product and the formula the scientist is most proud of), Refined Finish Facial Polish and Remove It, an oil-free makeup remover.
I received a little ‘starter’ sample pack of some of the products, and luckily I got two of the ones I was really interested in – the face scrub and eye cream – so if they’re any good, expect reviews on them soon!
And of course – thank you Benefit for a lovely morning and for inviting me. I had a blast!
Have you tried anything from Benefit’s b.right! skincare range yet? What did you think of it? And please – we HAVE to talk about the packaging. Anyone else think the design is perfection?!

LOL I spot myself in those photos! First in the background texting, then in the group shot looking at the ground LMAO what was I thinking?!?!
Oh don’t be silly Jade, you look lovely! I like your checkered shirt.
And we didn’t get to meet that day, what a shame!
Haha! Thanks Renee. You’re beautiful!
We will meet soon – for the next launch perhaps ;D
Oh the packaging do look so pretty. And I’m pretty sure that’s you in that black polo-sque outfit? You are so pretty!
Yes, that’s me in the polo dress! Always wearing black, haha. Thanks Eve.
xx
i love your blog renee! i’m in california, and i think you are by far one of the best beauty bloggers out there!
as for the b.right line, totally adorable packaging (reminds me of a nice spa too!) and can’t wait to try out my b.right skincare teaser! xoxo
Oh Dena thank you so much.
Really happy to hear that, and nice to meet you!
Let me know what you think about it! I think we must’ve gotten the same teaser sample pack. I tried the eye cream last night and I really like it so far. And you’re so right about the packaging, it reminds me of a quiet, relaxing spa xx
Hey, long time no comment! I’ve been reading, but recently I haven’t had much time to say anything. Anyway… this skincare looks pretty promising. I read a very positive review of the foaming cleanser on another beauty blog. (I don’t like foam myself! But she was so happy with it.) I was going to ask- have you ever used Benefit’s Boi-ing? I know you’ve mentioned you have bad undereye circles in the past, as do I, and I’m looking for a good concealer. The Laura Mercier Secret Concealer isn’t my favorite though.
Hey Mollie! Welcome back
I have tried it, and I really loved it (esp for zits!). However my impression of it was a few years back, when I had a pretty bad zit situation, whereas now I need something more for dark eye circles, so I’m not sure if it’ll be as good. Maybe I should try it again. Have you tried Erase Paste? I heard it was good for dark eye circles…
And it’s so funny you should ask about concealers! I actually am just finishing up my LM Secret concealer and was planning to write a post asking readers about their fave concealers… look out for that, I think it should be helpful! xx
Yes, concealer post please!
Well, I just bought Boi-ing a few days ago, and I have to say that I really love it for the under-eye area! Erase Paste, when I tried it in the store, was harder for me to manipulate. It has kind of a marshmallow goo texture and it’s SUPER pigmented. My dark circles are bad, but they aren’t horribly severe… and I felt like Erase Paste was a little TOO correcting for me (it’s actually got pronounced salmon undertones), if you know what I mean. So far I’m really happy with Boi-ing. It’s also pigmented, but it’s more like a traditional concealer than Erase Paste, and way easier to work with.
I’m in love with packaging!
ME TOO! Still in awe of it, so beautiful. xx
I absolutely love Benefit’s “that gal” brightening cream so I’m very tempted to look into this new range!
I fell in love w the packaging the moment I saw them on Sephora’s website! Benefit have truly outdone themselves this time! It gives off the squeky-clean feel, giving me a confidence boost in the product; making me wanna try them out right away!
