February 2012 Favorites!

Yay, it’s the end of February! I’m normally sad when a month ends (because one month down is one more closer to September which is my being a 24 year old. 24? Me? No!) but not this time for some reason. I think I’m actually looking forward to it, this time!

That being said, I’m sorry I’ve been a bit quiet this past week, I’ve been feeling unwell. I hope I get better soon, but in the meantime, on to my favorite goodies this month:

Bathies Beauties!: At the Philosophy event two weeks ago, Robin, the speaker, was talking about how our shower time is probably the only time we get to ourselves in our busy schedule – and she is so right. I really love taking showers (at night, still hate them in the mornings) and these beauties stink up my bathroom in a good way. First up is Crabtree & Evelyn’s Avacodo Olive and Basil shower wash. A friend of mine commented that the brand seems to be for “mature” ladies, but I disagree! They make really classy, timeless stuff and I love this for it’s pure scent. I know olive oil and basil kinda sounds like the ingredients to great pasta, but it really works here. It kinda reminds me of Italy for some reason. And of course, Philosophy’s Raspberry Sorbet (buy it here) is delicious. It’s the sinfulness of the desert without the calories! It smells SO good.

Clinique Even Better Spot Corrector (buy it here): While I didn’t see any difference in the first month, I am glad to report that that spot underneath my nose now looks like a faded freckle, and only noticeable if you look really close, which is never. YAY! So it’s definitely working.

Low Luv bracelet: Celebrity clothing lines are kinda a dime a dozen, but I love their jewelry lines. I’m a big fan of Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow line, and Low Luv is a jewelry line by Erin Wasson, the supermodel. I really love her laidback rock-and-roll style and her jewelry is so pretty. I ordered it online and I just love this simple design – did I ever tell you I love triangles? I do. So random, but they are so nice!

Harajuku Lovers perfume in Love, Lil Angel, G and Baby (buy them here): Call me obsessed, but I seriously don’t know why I don’t have a perfume blog. (Although it would be super boring: “This smells nice” “No, this is way better” “how nice does this smell?!?”). After the flawlessness that is Taylor Swift’s Wanderstruck perfume I’ve decided I want to try them all (I normally ignore celebrity fragrances). And first up was Gwen Stefani’s extremely popular line of scents, Harajuku lovers. I don’t normally like these kinda “cutesty” stuff but I cannot get enough of them. They are all amazing, but I think my favorite is Baby - a super sweet, cute scent. You can grab mini roll-on versions of the fragrance set online here.

What are some of your favorites this month? Have you tried anything from my list, and what do you think?

Oh Eve… I didn’t know how many I had so I just went to count and I stopped counting at 30 :S THAT is awful isn’t it?! Yikes I think I have a problem… In my defense, the reason why I have so many is because I ask them for birthday/Xmas gifts, haha. I think everyone who knows me will know I’m always happy with some kinda perfume!

Oh Vera Wang Princess! One I’ve always liked the smell of but never gotten around to buy it… I probably shouldn’t though lol! Oh and Taylor Swift’s perfume is one of my favorites, it is SO good! xx

:O I’m seriously in shock haha! And to think I thought I was obsessed with perfumes!:P I’m totally starting to ask for perfumes for my birthdays too :D they’re just so nice to have somehow :) And asking for Princess for your birthday this year would be one great excuse to own it then! ;)

Eve! I re-read my comment and I thought there’s no way I have over 30 bottles of perfume… so I recounted and it’s 20, not 30 haha. I must’ve pressed the wrong key! It’s still bad, isn’t it?!?!

Stephanie/Yukaeshi February 29, 2012 at 23:37

Ooooh I have the Harajuku Lovers perfume in Lil’ Angel and I love it! I see that you have the latest one, though, mine’s the older one haha :D The bottles are completely adorable and I want to buy ‘em all JUST for the bottles hahaha. My Mum has Baby, though :)

The Low Luv bracelet looks gorgeous! It’s something I’d get myself too, haha :D

My favourites this month would be…
L’Occitane Repairing Conditioner
Dr Andrew Weil For Origins The Way Of The Bath Matcha Tea Body Lotion
Melvita Soothing Care Serum
:D
