The title says it all, really. As if eyeshadow doesn’t already do enough, (eyeshadow can be used on your cheeks, your brows, contouring…) it can also help with your hair color.
For a quick fix to cover up roots, pat some eyeshadow that is the same color as your hair on your roots. The easiest is to get a blunt sponge eyeshadow brush, like those standard brushes you get in an eyeshadow palette.
This trick especially works for those wanting to cover lighter colored roots to match their darker haircolor. So if you ever are in a hurry to go out and forgot a root-job, try it! Aunty Beauty Fool swears by it.
Have you ever tried this trick out before?

Wow: eyeshadow has so many uses!
Hehe, it’s a miracle product!
Wow!! Such a nice idea. I’ll tell my girl friend to try this. Thanks for sharing the information.
You’re welcome.
I never even considered this a possibility, ever! I’ve heard of foundation to pat the oils at your roots… but eyeshadow for the root color? Fascinating! Thanks for the interesting tip.

Haha, how strange, I haven’t heard the foundation one yet!
And thanks for your comment, Katie. I’m glad you like it this week’s tip!
Haha never heard about this little trick. I usually have my natural hair color, so it’s not really for me but I can’t wait to try it on my sister. This might become a classic!

Let me know how your sis finds it, Alyssa! It does work – haven’t done it personally but I’ve seen it and it’s amazing how great it covers the color!
ohh… what does foundation do for your hair??!! x
It’s new to me too, Lois! I guess foundation powder to soak up oil at your roots? That’s the only logical way I can think of, haha!
Yea, I’ve also heard using powder at the roots help with oily hair when you don’t have time to wash it (and you don’t have dry shampoo at home).
