I don’t usually post event photos when doing reviews, but when I entered the cozy, intimate launch for DKNY’s new fragrance, Golden Delicious, I know I had to. I mean come on – look at the place!
The function was held at Estee Lauder offices in a beautifully decorated room that fit the fragrance perfectly. It was such a nice atmosphere and the little touches and details made it such a great event. Dare I say it was the best launch I’ve been to? Perhaps!
I have already been gushing about the fragrance on Twitter, so those who follow me through there will know that I adore the scent and been wearing it non-stop the past few weeks. It is feminine yet not overly feminine, if that makes sense. The best way I can describe it is that it’s sweet and warm with a touch of “apple” (obviously) in it. Notes include Golden Delicious Apple, White Rose, Casablanca Lily, Vanilla Orchid, Musk, Sandalwood, and Teakwood. And for perfume enthusiasts like myself, you might know exactly what I’m talking about when I say: Curious by Britney Spears. It smells just like it, but a little more mature. Still, it is a soft, sweet and beautiful scent, and with its classy golden apple shaped bottle, it looks gorgeous on your dressing table and would make such a great gift.
I don’t want to put the donut-ranking because it will just spoil these beautiful images, but it gets 5 donuts. I am impressed all around: DKNY’s launch, the scent, and the gorgeous bottle. I kinda DON’T want to use it too much because I don’t want the bottle too finish! It’s probably the best new scent I’ve tried so far this year.
Have you tried Golden Delicious? What did you think of it? This is my first “apple” fragrance I’ve tried from DKNY’s collection and the next time I’m in town I’m gonna hunt for the older versions – it just seems so good!
