Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting one of Clarins beautiful spas one afternoon to attend a blogger preview of their new whitening range, White Plus.
The function room where the event was held was lovely – so cozy and beautifully decorated, and we were met with big comfy red couches and yummy treats – hello! Who can resist? We were also given a presentation about the new range, and after enjoyed a mini facial of the products.
However, I have to admit: I hate the word ‘whitening’. I’ve always thought that one should embrace their shade, and not obsess over getting another skin color, whether it’s obsessive (and dangerous!) tanning or whitening. So I was a bit hesitant, wondering if I should even attend this event. However, Clarin’s White Plus range is merely a brightening range for those who may have dull skin, hyperpigmentation and dark spots. As Clarins says, it’s for “even toned, luminous” skin, so I was happy about that – I don’t want to tell my readers they need to look ‘whiter’! (But I guess that the word ‘whitening’ sells better in Asia – you would not believe what a craze whitening products are here!)
After having mini facials, we were given a goodie bag with a few products from the White Plus Range, that I’ll try out and let you know if it’s any good! So far, I am very intrigued by the Gentle Brightening Exfoliator – one of the therapists was shocked I don’t exfoliate! Oops… I did try it for awhile (and forgot about it), does that count? So I’ll definitely have a look out on that, I do think exfoliating is important and I better start.
Here are more shots of the afternoon… enjoy! Review coming soon. Oh and by the way, go to any Clarins counter, they are giving away samples of the range.
And a big thanks to Clarins for hosting a lovely get-together.

A game where we had to guess the concoctions of what was in the glass. (I obviously got all wrong.)

Listening to the presentation in big comfy seats… ah.

Me trying out some of the products!

A group shot of all the bloggers!

Haha thank you! Yeah I think I must’ve run my hands through my hair (habit!) just before the pic was taken so it was like mid-hair fall.
