Announcement time! Just a quick post to let you know what’s up with me and the future of Beauty Fool.
First and foremost, I have left my job as the beauty writer for that magazine some time ago. There’s not much to say about it, but I believe that life is way too short to be unhappy, and if you are, you should make changes.
That being said… I’m back, baby! 
I’m so happy. I don’t think anyone could understand but I think I’m literally obsessed with this site. Did you know for the first few months of the site, I was working on for up to 15 hours a day?! Madness, I tell you. But it doesn’t feel like ‘work’ when you’re having a blast and doing what you love!
Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that I’m gonna give it a go… the blog and this industry, I mean. I always said my dream was magazines, which, if you work hard enough is generally attainable… but my beyond wildest / impossible / never-gonna-happen dream is to live off my blog. I know some people do it, but I live in Singapore – it almost seems impossible. BUT I am gonna try. That way, I’ll have no regrets – if I fail, at least I know I tried.
My plan right now is to do freelance writing and see what’s out there in this very new industry. So apart from freelance gigs (God willing!), the rest of the time I’ll work on Beauty Fool. More content, more interaction, more giveaways, more of everything. I hope you’ll join me! Right now my biggest motivator is knowing you all support me. I can’t thank you enough for your kind words. Again, I’m gonna share my journey with you – you are a part of Beauty Fool whether you like it or not!

What are your favorite type of posts?
(Though that might change in 2011/2012 when I go to Singapore to study)
- I personally love reading reviews on products, to be honest. Not so much on looks/vlogs/tutorials.
What would you change about Beauty Fool?
- So far I am satisfied with the way Beauty Fool is going, it’s a nice, comprehensive. But I do like your idea of outfits. Though it can be a tricky, since fashion is, after all, subjective to every individual.
What do you want more of?
- Product reviews? XD (Personally, though) Oh, and giveaways so that I may enter… though I live in Malaysia haha

Im so glad you’ve decided to focus on the blog! I have just finished my course in journalism and have the exact same feelings about magazines, blogs are the best and you will get a much wider audience. (like me in Sydney!)
favourite types of posts are product and makeup reviews
what would i change? not much, makeup tutorials would be great for those would really need to see how its done, as well as new makeup looks.
The layout has always been great, not cluttered and it’s easy to find where everything is.
So basically more makeup and product reviews !!!! Good luck

Like you said, life is way to short to be doing something you don’t like. I applaud your courage in doing what you love.
Favourite type of post would be product reviews, there are just so many products out there that it’s great to something more first hand about the product before shelling out money, especially from a trusted source.
Beauty Fool is fabulous as it is. But think the idea of outfit posts and makeup posts is brilliant. And Vlogs would be brilliant, because sometimes pictures (in this case moving pictures) are truly worth a thousand words.
What do you want more of? I’m going to be greedy and say EVERYTHING! I love everything you put on here. I have stuck with no other blog for half as long as this one!

I think my favourite posts are actually ones about people’s looks and what products they use (like Zooey Deschanel) or ones to do with skin XD I don’t think there is anything to change about beautyfool though, but are there going to be anymore posts about the beauty scene in different countries? I quite liked those

Thanks. I always love when you write. <3 It’s OK, I am very happy with my decision to leave and it was a great learning experience. That industry is just not for me. I totally respect what they do but there are some things I don’t agree with. Working from home, at my pace and keeping sane is the best option for me right now!

I think outfits is a great idea – I wasn’t keen on jeggings before, but after reading your post on them I thought I would give them a try and found a great pair of armani ones, I wear them all the time now.

I like them all actually =), I like reviews, and I like posts that we can debate about it, u know, self-esteem and all that good stuff. Because none of my friends will listen to me talking about makeup, products, hair, Jessica simpson “natural” face on the cover of that magazine hehe. So here I can talk about that without feeling superficial or anything. I also like your just recent personal blog.

I dont know, I like everything =)
* What do you want more of?
More of personal stuff that you like actually, anything, pictures that inspire you (whether is makeup or any other picture) music. And personal shopping as well, or like some people call “haul”. And I also like posts that u post a picture of a celebrity wearing a certain makeup/hair look and then u go and do your own version of it, using similar products and colors. (if u ever do that).

YAY, i love vlogs and makeup looks. I’m subscribed to 30 beauty channels on youtube I guess, I know there’s a lot of crap there and people buying the same stuff just because is hype, but there are also some nice people. I recently found nice ones that teach me a lot about makeup and products.
=D that’s it, but I think u have done a great job here, there’s nothing to change!!!

I am glad you like BF and feel that you can talk about stuff without feeling superficial. You know, it’s very hypocritical to say “beauty stuff” is superficial, because A LOT of things are. My guy friends don’t understand my blog, one even rolled their eyes at it. Yet, he is always talking about his car, washing it, making it look pretty, decorating it… isn’t that superficial, too?!
I am so glad you like my personal blog as well! I really like having a little space to write about… anything!
It’s been a long time coming and I wanted to do it a year ago, too! I will definitely put up more personal stuff, I really like to share with you all some of my finds!
