Good evening! I wasn’t sure if I should write this yesterday or tomorrow – seeing as this holiday is the whole weekend, so I thought I’d do it smack down the center on Saturday!
Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Easter.
Its message, hope… Its meaning, life… its reason, love.

Hey everyone, happy Friday! Just a quick note today. It’s been 3 months since I’ve moved to the new .com domain and suffice to say it has gone fairly smooth.
Just so everyone is clear, here are all the “updated” info for Beauty Fool, whatever you are still on, feel free to delete/unsubcribe, these are the true ones:
Yep, I have secured all the “beautyfool” usernames so it’s super easy to remember! Anything that ISN’T “beautyfool” is not me!
So far I think the one that most of you are not aware of is the new Facebook page. Please come and join us! I’ll be deleting the old one soon and would hate to lose you! I have also decided that for every 500 count this year, I’ll hold a “mystery box” giveaway for a Facebook fan to win. I am quite inspired by all these beauty sampling box services, but of course mine will be full sized products and you will most definitely be getting more than a couple of products in a box! So please invite your friends to the page, too!
Thank you for sticking by me, I really appreciate it. ♥ I know it’s a hassle to “move” and nobody really likes change (especially me haha), but it’s all done now, and will stay that way forever! I hope you are all enjoying to the new .com.
Also I would like to take this opportunity with this blog post for you to send in your feedback about Beauty Fool – is there anything you are wanting more/less of? Please let me know. Two of my goals for 2012 is to start a YouTube channel and to post more frequently… but if you think I should add more to the list, please tell me!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! ♥
What a year it has been!!! Hmm… I think I overdo the party decorations every year LOL. I’m gonna be 24 years old this year, someone please slap me. I can’t believe I started Beauty Fool when I was a 19 year old college student, and now I’m a mid-twenties working woman. Sheesh! Will 2012 be the year they invent a time machine? I hope so!
Some of my blog/personal highlights in 2011 were being on the cover of URBAN, my first time hosting an event, saying a big GOOD RIDDANCE to PCOS, (apart from a few slip-ups, I have been very disciplined with my health and fitness regime); getting a mention in Harper’s Bazaar and continually wanted to pinch myself; turning the big 2-3; my ”first” time filming (that was a complete bust as it went straight to the digital trash can, but I had so much fun); the 1 year anniversary of getting my ball of terror, Bailey; my first “speaking engagement” at Unilever – super nervous! Will write about that soon; and getting a job that I love with a team that I love!
Overall, it’s been a great year! I thank God for such an amazing year. Thank you for being a part of it.
What were some of your highlights of 2011? Wishing you all a great 2012 full of health and happiness – I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings us!

Dearest Readers,
It’s time for a mini Christmas break, so I will be back on Monday.
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful one this year!
x Renee
The above collage are some of my favorite Christmas memories, left to right: When both my best friends were finally in Singapore (at the same time!) in 2008; meeting “Santa” for the first time at 5 years old; Bailey’s first Christmas with us last year; 17 year old me decorating the tree – one of my favorite parts of Christmas!

Today marks the day of being makeup free for (a little over) 6 months.
Yes, 6 months! I have a beauty blog and I’ve been makeup free for 6 months. (OK fine, I wear lipstick and blush for “important” events – 3 so far, such as my cousin’s wedding – so that I look remotely alive.) But other than that… no makeup. It all started with my stupid eye infection that I mentioned here. (However, the culprit was not hand cream in the end, we found out it was my new contact lenses. So thank you, Johnson&Johnson for screwing up my eyes! Also, thank you for never calling me back after I complained, where you promised you would look into the contaminated batch I was given and compensate me somehow! What excellent customer service!)
Anyway, after several styes and infections, my eye now has some chronic condition which I am SO thrilled about, obviously. I don’t want to complain though – it could be worse, but I can’t wear eye makeup or contacts, so I’ve been stuck bare-faced and in my nasty glasses (no offense to those who wear glasses – I just personally hate them) for 6 months.
And you know what? It’s been quite a lesson. I miss it, obviously – I never knew how much I enjoyed applying makeup, but there are some totally cool things about not wearing makeup…
