I was born and raised in Singapore, studied Mass Communications in college, and during that time, started this blog, a place for young women in Singapore to get tips, recommendations and reviews on all aspect of our life: beauty, fashion, travel, dining out, career and home.

Before long it became a part time job, and when I applied to become a magazine writer (my ultimate dream) at a magazine, the editor told me she already knew my blog and loved it! I got the job, but after awhile, realized how much I missed my blog, and took the leap into full time blogging.

Since then, Beauty Fool was named one of the best beauty blogs in Vogue Italy, and featured in several publications around the world. I work with amazing beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands and have hosted events for Clinique and Clarins, appeared in a video for MAC and TANGS, and spoke at a Unilever conference. I even released Renee’s Blend (December 2012-May 2013), my own limited edition bath & body line in collaboration with Lemongrass House, a natural spa company from Phuket, Thailand. It was the first brand-blogger collaboration in Singapore and feedback was 100% positive. (We have plans to release more, stay tuned!). I also write a fortnightly beauty column, Beauty Banter, on inSing.com, one of Singapore’s largest websites with 1.3 million visitors a day; and for a nano-second, was the host of my own TV show.

Oh, and because I’m always asked: the name Beauty Fool is a play on the word “beautiful” and represents the blog’s mission: to be a fun, care-free, no-fuss place for women who don’t take themselves too seriously. Thank you for reading!
